The James Webb Space Telescope has sparked intrigue with its discovery of massive and mature galaxies dating back to the early universe. A recent study suggests that the galaxies may have appeared larger and more mature than expected due to bursts of star formation. Computer simulations indicated that star formation in these early galaxies occurred in intermittent bursts rather than at a steady rate.
