Jony Ive, Sam Altman wants to create the ‘iPhone for AI’
Former Apple design chief Jony Ive and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman are reportedly discussing the development of an "iPhone of artificial intelligence." The project aims to create a device that offers a natural and intuitive way to interact with AI, similar to how the original iPhone transformed mobile computing. The CEO of Softbank, Masayoshi Son, is expected to invest $1 billion in Altman's AI hardware, with the involvement of chip designer Arm. However, no formal agreement has been reached, and it may take several months before any announcement is made.
