Hollywood actors’ strike: Netflix may have ‘bad news’ for users
Netflix is planning to raise the prices of its ad-free subscriptions after the ongoing Hollywood actors' strike ends, starting with the US and Canada. The exact amount and timing of the price increase are yet to be confirmed. Last year, Netflix raised prices across all plans in the US, with the Standard tier costing $15.49 a month and the Premium plan costing $19.99 per month. The decision to raise prices comes amid the strike by actors and writers in Hollywood, which has led to project delays and postponed film releases.
