WhatsApp may soon roll new sidebar and group chat filter feature
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new group chat filter feature for WhatsApp Web, allowing users to categorize their conversations and sort chats based on specific filters. A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows three filters for organizing chats based on unread messages, personal conversations, and group chats. Additionally, WhatsApp plans to introduce a revamped sidebar similar to the one available on the native WhatsApp for Windows app. The new features are under development and will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Web. WhatsApp will also end support for certain older smartphone models starting October 24, 2023.
