US senator slams Apple over Beeper’s ‘iMessage for Android’ app blockade
Senator Elizabeth Warren supports Beeper, an app blocked by Apple that allows Android users to message iPhone users through iMessage. She questions why Apple would block an app that offers secure cross-platform messaging. Eric Migicovsky, the co-founder of Beeper, thanks Warren for her support. Apple blocked Beeper Mini due to concerns about user privacy and security. Beeper claims to offer the same level of encryption as iMessage and is willing to share its Android source code with Apple.
