This iPad model is now considered a vintage Apple product
The 2018 iPad Pro 12.9-inch, with its refined design, faster A12X Bionic chip, and improved Face ID capabilities, has joined Apple's vintage product list, losing guaranteed software support and hardware repairs. Despite being overshadowed by newer iterations with faster processors, improved cameras, and additional features like Face ID, its legacy as a powerful device for creative professionals and students endures. While it can still run current iPadOS versions, developers may prioritize newer devices for optimization and future software updates. Though Apple will no longer guarantee hardware repairs, authorized service providers may still offer repairs depending on parts availability. Vintage Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, do not receive regular software updates and Apple does not promise repairs or service for these products.
