'No Desire By Israelis' For US Troops On Ground: White House
The United States has no plans to deploy troops in the war between Israel and Hamas, the White House said Thursday, adding that the Israeli government itself would not "welcome" such a move. "There is no intention, no plan and, frankly, no desire by the Israelis for US combat troops to be involved in this conflict," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.
