Residents in a Melbourne suburb were startled by a loud boom believed to have been caused by a meteorite entering Earth's atmosphere. Many captured videos of the event, with CCTV footage showing a burst of light and a loud noise resembling an explosion. Some speculated that the boom might be linked to an astronomical occurrence, while science expert Dr Gail Isles suggested it could be a meteor or a fragment from a satellite rocket.
