MediaTek has unveiled its new Dimensity 9300 chipset, which competes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The 4nm process node-based Dimensity 9300 features a new graphics unit with hardware-backed ray tracing support. It boasts a 15% improvement in single-core CPU performance, 40% better multi-core performance, and a 33% reduction in peak performance power consumption compared to its predecessor. The chipset also offers a 46% improvement in hardware ray tracing performance and is 40% more power efficient. The Dimensity 9300 will be featured in the upcoming Vivo X100 smartphone.
