Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder for India, contributed significantly to the hosts' unbeaten run against South Africa, scoring an unbeaten 29 off 15 balls and taking his maiden World Cup five-wicket haul. His 5 for 33 was the second World Cup fifer by an Indian spinner after Yuvraj Singh's 5/31 in the 2011 edition against Ireland. India skipper Rohit Sharma praised Jadeja's understanding of his role and team expectations, while former Pakistan cricketers also praised his toughness on turning pitches.
