'Iss debate ka koi answer…': Akram on Mathews' 'timed out' dismissal
The ICC ODI World Cup is currently embroiled in a debate, with the controversy surrounding Sri Lanka batter Angelo Mathews' timed-out against Bangladesh. Mathews became the first cricketer to be timed out in international cricket at Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. He demanded 'justice' from the ICC on social media and called the decision 'cheating'. The incident arose from Mathews' failure to comply with the World Cup rule, which requires a new batter to be ready within two minutes of a wicket falling.
