Google will take care of copyright lawsuits for its generative AI users

Google has joined other tech giants like Microsoft and Adobe in offering support and protection to users accused of intellectual property violations related to generative AI systems. The policy will cover Google's Vertex AI and Duet AI platforms, which generate text and images. However, intentional infringement of others' rights will not be covered. This move comes in response to lawsuits from copyright owners claiming that the use of their work to train AI systems and the content generated by these systems violate their rights. Microsoft and Adobe have also introduced similar initiatives.
