Google-backed edtech platform Adda247 cuts nearly 300 jobs
Edtech platform Adda247, backed by Google, has reportedly laid off around 250-300 employees. Another edtech platform, StudyIQ, which was acquired by Adda247, has also laid off about 100-150 employees. The layoffs are said to be in major verticals such as sales and content. Adda247 had raised $35 million in funding led by WestBridge Capital, with participation from Google, Info Edge, and Asha Impact. This comes after Byju's, another edtech giant, announced layoffs of 4,000-5,000 employees as part of a business restructuring exercise.
