Broadcom completes its $61 billion acquisition of cloud-computing firm VMware, after regulatory scrutiny and delays. China grants approval with conditions for interoperability with rival hardware. Broadcom's acquisition of Marvell Technology is approved by the European Commission and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority. VMware will operate under four specialized divisions with new leadership.
