Saturday marked a significant setback for the Delhi Capitals as their skipper and wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, received a one-match suspension, ruling him out of the upcoming clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2024. This penalty was incurred due to the team's third slow over-rate violation in the tournament, as announced by the IPL. The slow-over rate infringement occurred during Delhi Capitals' 21-run victory over Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 7, prompting the disciplinary action against the team.
